Description:

The Bigoli and Monte Cucco Park Products Festival is an event that showcases the culinary heritage of Costacciaro and the Monte Cucco Park region. The stars of the event are bigoli—traditional fresh handmade pasta prepared according to the local recipe—along with the area’s typical products, which reflect the agricultural and food-production richness of this Apennine region.

The festival represents an important opportunity to promote local products and introduce visitors to the flavors, culinary traditions, and culinary excellence of the Monte Cucco Park. Through traditional cuisine, the festival helps highlight the connection between local products, the region, and local identity, offering an experience that combines gastronomy, culture, and hospitality.

Organized by the Pro Loco of Costacciaro, the festival has been awarded the UNPLI “Sagra di Qualità” (Quality Festival) designation, granted to events that demonstrate a close connection to the history, traditions, and economic activities of the region and that promote typical local products through high-quality initiatives.

The Festival of Bigoli and Products of Monte Cucco Park thus serves as a significant example of how to highlight the gastronomic heritage as an element of local cultural identity and as a tool for promoting the region and its traditional products.

The photographs and video produced by the Pro Loco capture the festival from a unique perspective, showcasing not only the festivities but, above all, the people who make them possible. The artisanal preparation of bigoli, the work in the kitchens, and the dedication of the many volunteers bear witness to a legacy of knowledge, skill, and collaboration that is renewed each year thanks to the active participation of the community.

The video also highlights the atmosphere of participation, camaraderie, and a sense of belonging that characterizes the event. Through an ironic and catchy song, performed by the Pro Loco volunteers themselves and the residents of Costacciaro, the festival is portrayed as a shared celebration, where the pleasure of good food combines with music, fun, and the desire to be together. The decision to cast community members as the video’s protagonists reinforces the message that the event is the result of collective effort and represents an authentic expression of local identity.
