Designing an Intangible Cultural Heritage-Based Rural Tourism Experience

This training activity was developed within the Rural Tourism based on Intangible Cultural Heritage module of the #ASenseofEU project. Participants worked in international groups to design innovative rural tourism experiences rooted in the traditions, knowledge, practices, and cultural identity of rural communities across Europe.
Drawing on the concepts of Sense of Place, Intangible Cultural Heritage (ICH), and Intergenerational Learning, participants explored how local heritage can become the foundation for sustainable tourism products that strengthen community identity while offering authentic visitor experiences. The activity resulted in a series of creative tourism concepts presented through visual posters.
