Description:

This activity was developed within the Intangible Cultural Heritage-Based Tourism Heritage Lab of the #ASenseofEU project in Granada, Spain.

The Heritage Lab explored how local traditions, cultural practices, stories and community knowledge can contribute to the development of responsible tourism experiences while preserving the cultural identity of local communities.

Participants explored how local traditions and cultural practices could inspire tourism experiences that respect cultural authenticity, involve local stakeholders and generate benefits for the community.

The activity focused on developing a tourism concept by identifying a cultural heritage element, defining the target audience, proposing an itinerary and considering the involvement of local community members.

The accompanying educational material, “Mi Propuesta de Turismo Cultural” (My Cultural Tourism Proposal), illustrates this process through an example of a cultural tourism route that connects traditional food, local stories and community spaces.
