Introducing the schedule of the day

    • Set the atmosphere: Create a positive and open environment where participants feel comfortable sharing ideas, emotions, and personal experiences connected to their local heritage or identity.
    • Encourage inclusion: Pay attention to group dynamics—ensure all voices are heard, especially across different generations or experience levels. Pair participants with complementary strengths.
    • Be flexible: Adapt the tasks according to participants’ comfort levels, local context, and available tools. Support those with less digital experience or language barriers.
    • Foster collaboration: Remind participants to plan, communicate, and distribute roles before starting the task. Emphasize cooperation over competition.
    • Promote respect and empathy: Encourage active listening, fair participation, and sensitivity to cultural and personal stories that may emerge during the activity. Address any conflicts constructively.
  • Additional Tips:

    • Be enthusiastic and supportive—motivate participants to engage both emotionally and creatively.
    • Manage time carefully to maintain focus while ensuring all participants contribute.
    • Adjust for group size or context (e.g., small rural groups, mixed ages, or hybrid sessions).
    • Document the process (photos, notes, quotes) for later reflection or inclusion in the Digital Collection.

Activity “Producing posters based on the content from case study /training case templates”

100 minutes • Group Activity • Training Case

Participants create a poster presenting their case study, which means a place or activity that they would like to develop based on intangible cultural heritage.

  • Transforming an idea into an appealing presentation.
  • Communicating an idea to others.
  • Creating an informative but at the same time inspirational collage.

100 minutes

  • A3 paper sheets
  • Coloured pencils
  • Magazines
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Tape

The room must be furnished in a way that allows people to sit in the groups in which they have worked. Put chairs and tables in a position that makes it easy for companies of 2, 3, or 4 people sitting together (based on how large groups the participants have formed during the week).

Step 1 - Introduction and instructions
Description

Introduce the task. The participants already produced a document about their case study/training Case. Based on this document, it is time to create an inspirational poster that make others interested in your idea. Think of the poster as something that can be displayed in the tourism office of your town, or another space that you can think of.

This activity is the final step of your Training Case. Using your completed poster, you will present your ICH-based tourism product, showcasing how the knowledge and materials developed throughout the course have been integrated into a coherent and sustainable tourism concept. This presentation represents the final outcome of your Training Case journey.

Activity “Evaluation and reflections

20 minutes • Individual Activity

Participants complete the final course evaluation and reflect on their learning journey, the development of their Training Case, and the knowledge and skills acquired throughout the programme.

20 minutesa

  • PC and projector
  • Digital evaluation questionnaire
  • Participants need digital device such as tablet, phone, or PC to answer the evaluation.

After completing the digital e-course evaluation, participants take part in a guided reflection on their learning experience. The discussion encourages them to identify their main achievements, consider how their understanding of Intangible Cultural Heritage has evolved, and reflect on how they can apply the knowledge and skills gained throughout the course in their own communities.

Trainers may guide the discussion using questions such as:

  • What is one thing you learned during this course that you did not know before?
  • What has inspired you the most throughout the programme?
  • How will you apply what you have learned in your own community?
  • What recommendations would you give to improve this training programme?
  • How can you encourage other young adults to become involved in safeguarding Intangible Cultural Heritage?
